**Are you a highly accomplished and seasoned sales/commercial director with a talent for building and leading high performing sales teams to deliver SaaS/ERP capability to the UK Local Government?**

They are looking for a Sales Director to build, develop and lead their offering into the Local Government sector.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Coach, mentor and develop the Local Government sector sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets, maximise business growth and build a sustainable pipeline
- Enable and motivate team members to own their development and career progression, inspiring your people to achieve their potential
- Partner with the executive sales leadership team to develop and ensure the team successfully execute against sales strategies (industry/product/region)
- Managing regional sales and expense budgets. Monitoring the sales revenue, margin and expense performance and initiative corrective action where required
- Partner with key internal stakeholders to provide strategic direction, aligning regional sales activities to the broader strategy
- Negotiating major deals within policy guidelines, maintaining contact with key clients and identifying and steering opportunities for business improvement
- Actively engaging with Bid Management, Operations, Marketing and Corporate Services to ensure optimal efficiency, consistency and quality of sales activities, and ensuring relevant internal processing requirements and guidelines are met
- Measure and analyse key performance indicators to drive improved regional performance and accountability
**Your Skills, Experience & Qualifications**
- Sales capability: extensive ERP sales experience with proven ability to create, implement and successfully execute innovative go to market strategies
- Leadership capability: drives strategic goals through high team performance, efficient use of systems and processes while adapting to change and innovation
- Communication capability: ability to provide vision and direction through clear communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Commercial acumen: data-informed decisions that drive profitable growth in line with enterprise strategy and vision and customer needs
- Extensive industry network of senior executives across a range of mid to large enterprise customers in the Local Government sector
- Wider Public Sector experience would be welcomed
