**Roles and Responsibilities**
- To Safeguard children in line with the nursery’s Child Protection/Safeguarding Policy, the Childcare Act (2006) and Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018)
- To be a positive role model for children - demonstrating how to make good choices with regards to food, exercise, reading, making conversation, building relationships etc.
- Ensure that equal opportunities are given to all children and parents
- Supervise and support children at all times
- Maintain an attractive and welcoming environment
- Prepare and supervise activities suitable for children’s age ranges and stages of development under the guidance of qualified practitioners
- Read and implement all company policies and procedures
- Adhere to policies that are updated or altered within the time scale
- See your senior with any concerns
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, visitors and work colleagues
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained
- Attend regular staff meetings and where necessary planning meetings
- Undertake training as required
- Work as part of a team
- Follow all areas of the EYFS Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage (2017) and OFSTED requirements
- Follow correct nappy changing procedures
- Follow good personal hygiene routines
- Ensure children’s hygiene routines are followed
- Provide children with care, love and attention
- Ensure the room is clean and safe at all times, making sure to follow the cleaning rota
- Any other duties as required
