Medway Council are excited to be recruiting to this post.
The health protection team is looking for Infection Prevention and Control Advanced Practitioner, with knowledge of public health and social care. The post holder will work with the wider public health team as well as partnership agencies across local authorities, NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board, UKHSA and voluntary and third sector partners.
The successful applicant will report to the Senior Public Health Manager. Other aspects of the role include
Undertaking practice research, assessment of need and demand, data and financial analysis and arranging provider engagement activity where required.
Working knowledge of the National IPC agenda, and an ability to translate this into operational delivery
You will utilise and further develop your infection prevention and control (IPC) skills, experience, and knowledge within a Multi-Disciplinary Team influencing best practice for clients in their own homes receiving Domiciliary Care and for residents in Nursing and Residential Care Homes. You will be required to be adaptable with excellent interpersonal and communication skills for dynamic, changing situations.
- Reviewing national policy, understanding best practise, and setting local policy will be an integral part of this role, for all projects within the portfolio.
- Demonstrate understanding of effective systems of governance and the management of clinical and non-clinical risks
- Represent the service at all senior level meetings locally, nationally, and regionally, including delivering formal presentations
- Collaborative working with stakeholders from voluntary, statutory, and private sectors.
