Grafton Banks Finance Executive Search in Kent is recruiting a Group Finance Director for a rapidly expanding, hugely successful and respected, £200m turnover, Private Equity backed business near Westerham in Kent. The business is about to embark on itsnext investment round with a 3-5-year cycle so it’s a great time to join. You will need to be a fully qualified accountant - Group FC, Head of FP&A or already an FD with previous private equity exposure as well as M&A experience to apply.

This varied and commercial role will manage three Heads of Department and their wider teams. Reporting to the Group CFO you will take responsibility for:

- Responsibility for the Financial Control & Payroll, Management Accounts and Financial Planning & Analysis teams.
- Provide leadership to ensure the continuous improvement of relevant financial information, and timely financial budgeting and planning and financial reporting relevant to the business.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the Heads of these departments including an initial review of capability within the teams and structures to ensure they are set up for success.
- Support direct reports with recruitment and development initiatives to help improve productivity and retention within the team. Ensuring the function is operating to the highest possible standard.
- Assist the CFO in managing and controlling the group’s financial processes, making the necessary changes to upgrade and improve process, policies, or procedures, and develop their team.
- Ensure that financial reports required is prepared in a timely and accurate manner working with the Management Accounts team to pro-actively identify risks and remedies.
- Providing financial leadership to the business in all significant transformational processes including leading on due diligence processes for the CFO with the FP&A team ensuring all data and information is reviewed and accurate, liaison with external bodiesand the PE house as required.
- Ownership of the 5-year financial plan, including maintaining the group’s financial model.
- Identification and tracking of key information required for exit process to support the business valuation.
- Ensure the financial infrastructure is stable and supports the demands of future growth.
- Support the Director of Financial Control and Payroll Manager in implementing a new payroll system for the group in a timely and accurate manner.
- Partnering with the business to deliver timely and insightful analysis to support strategic decision making, working closely with the CFO on the ongoing strategy of the business.

**Experience required**:

- ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified
- Current FC, FD or Head of FP&A
- Private Equity sector experience
- Previous experience of M&A, due diligence for acquisitions
- Previous experience of data rooms and preparing a business for a sale an advantage although not essential
