As a Quality Controller you will perform the relevant levels of Inspection and Quality clearance to ensure that purchased parts, as a minimum, meet the Customers expectations. Ensure a viable Quality Control policy is followed. Reports any quality or receipt issues related to purchased parts to the buyer, and ensures that all information is effectively communicated in a clear and timely manner.

**Success in this role looks like**:

- Develop strong skills in SAP and GE internal tools.
- Develop steam product knowledge.
- Able to define successful quality control methodology.

**Your role**:

- Maintain, accurately, the Pmx-SAP system data and the Quality and despatch filing system.
- Support the achievement of Vendor On-time delivery to meet CTC’s.
- Contribute to the cost-effective supply of Global parts meeting specified QCD requirements and targets.
- Work towards sustainable cost and lead times reductions whilst maintaining Quality and delivery standards, strive for continuous improvement.
- Be available for any reviews or inspection requirements with vendors at Rugby and Vendor premises to improve performance, feedback and relationships.
- Liaise with Vendors, Engineering, Buyers and Customer Account Co-ordinators to resolve any purchase order issues quickly and effectively.
- Participate in regular departmental reviews to discuss and communicate general issues within the supply chain process and work as a team to solve issues and suggest improvements to the process.
- Non-Conformance Review (NCR) ownership for Transport & Logistics team.
- Ensure Distribution Centre environment complies with Company Health & Safety Policy & relevant legislation.
- Assist others in educating & gaining valuable experience within the team & achieving the department targets.
- Work with integrity, honesty and at-all-times, with the best interests of New Nuclear Services company in any business transaction.

**Basic Qualifications**
- Experience of at least 2 years within quality control of mechanical parts.
- Proficient in the interpretation of complex engineering drawings.
- Ability to use various types of measuring instrumentation required to check dimensions.
- Knowledge of SAP (Pmx) system.
- Computer literacy in MS office suite.

**Desired Qualifications**
- Work experience of a machine shop & warehouse environment.
- Prior experience in the Energy Industry.
- Prior shop floor experience in an inspection position.
- Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
