We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Operations to join our fast-paced and innovative recruitment agency. As the Head of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our organisation while inspiring and nurturing a high-performing team.

Couple this with a dynamic sales support team providing new business leads and existing customer support, the role of Head of Operations is perfectly placed to drive substantial growth through our Northern division, covering territories across Yorkshire, Durham and Cumbria.

**Responsibilities**:
As a new Head of Operations, you will be responsible for the management, and development of a team of high performing digital recruiters, operational consultants and a payroll and invoicing team. You will need to maintain and continue to cultivate a collaborative and motivated work environment by providing clear direction, guidance, and support to the operations team, empower team members to take ownership of their roles and facilitate professional growth and development.

Key responsibilities will include:

- P & L accountability for the Northern Hub budget
- Daily and weekly meetings with the team to set and agree targets
- Weekly meetings with key stakeholders, including the regional sales team, to agree sales growth targets for the hub
- Coaching and mentoring of the operations team
- Effective management of the operations team’s personal development
- Delivery of growth into the existing customer base
- Full conformance to legislative compliance
- Delivery of best practice standards in recruitment
- Cross functional collaboration with other department heads, including sales and compliance
- Promote a cohesive organisational culture and foster a sense of unity among the team

**What do you need to be successful?**

As our new Head of Operations, you will ideally have:

- Proven experience in recruitment, or transport / logistics
- Proven experience as a Head of Operations, or in a similar leadership role
- Strong track record of successful team management and team building skills
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building a strong relationship at all levels of the business
- Demonstrable ability to drive operational improvements and process optimisation
- Strong customer service and management skills
- Full UK driving licence
