Parts Department Stock Controller

We currently have a vacancy within our Parts Department to be involved in the daily operation
Reporting to the Parts Manager you will be assisting in all roles within this department to help achieve the best levels of customer service and assist our workshops daily needs. This is a busy role and requires attention to detail and excellent control of stock and all parts on site, Communication skills both face to face and a polite and clear telephone manner are also important requirements for this role.
The main duties will include but not entirely confined to the following:
Checking of all deliveries received throughout the day, including checking parts for damages, shortages and ensuring that they are correct, any discrepancies will need to be reported to the suppliers as soon as practicable.
Booking the receipt of all parts onto the company computer stock system.
All items required for work on site will be identified and placed into the store area for collection by Engineers when needed.
Adhering to our company policy and guidelines, all items to be returned to suppliers will need to be clearly marked and entered onto the returns book for that particular supplier.
Produce collate and provide a weekly stock record of all stock that is ready for use for confirmed work to be undertaken by the company to the Accounts Manager.
Check and request replenishment orders for all fast-moving stock items.
Ordering of parts required from suppliers as and when required, often very urgent within the day.
Covering all parts department tasks including for (holiday cover).
**Skills / Experience required from you**:
Experience of stores and parts processes.
To be Computer literate, with a recent working knowledge of stock control systems.
To be a Team player.
Have a Methodical and organised approach to workload.
Undertake and carry out all tasks autonomously..
You must be Self-motivated.
Have excellent Attention to detail and Work well under pressure.
You will need to be Physically fit as some heavy lifting will be required.
Salary dependant on experience
