**Inventory Controller - Abbot House, Bury st Edmunds**
Working within a fast-paced, challenging team environment, you will have responsibility for managing the stock replenishment process for all wet products (beer, packaged, wines, spirits & minerals) to ensure stock availability throughout the supply chainto meet customer demand, delivering to a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers.
A key focus of the role will be the liaison with Purchasing and the Trade Channels to monitor and improve forecast accuracy in order to optimise stock levels, manage promotional activity and improve working capital and stock write offs.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the process for the placement of purchase orders and receipts for all wet factored goods
- Monitor, analyse and refine the re-order points for all wet factored goods
- Work with the Production Planning team to help co-ordinate and manage a cross functional review of forecasting and promotional activity for all wet factored products to ensure seamless service to customers with mínimal stock write offs
- Oversee the daily depot replenishment process into both Greene King and third party networks
- Monitor set-up and availability of stocks through third party supply chains
- Advise customer sales on availability of stocks and of any failures due to stock shortages
- Continually focus on working capital deployed in group stocks and work with cross functional teams to optimise stock holdings
- Conduct regular reviews of stock losses across the supply chain and help understand root cause analysis
- Manage the timely process of returns and credits for stocks with suppliers
- Facilitate the cross functional processes required for the timely set up of all new products and suppliers in the Greene King and third party networks
- Link with IT on systems development / design to improve inventory control related processes
- Actively contribute towards the future design and development of any supply chain initiatives
**About you...**
- Proven experience in an Inventory Controller role or related experience
- Strong working knowledge of how inventory control systems work in a complex multi-customer FMCG environment
- Knowledge of inventory management processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain
- A high attention to detail with strong analytical and mathematical abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
