**Job Overview**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and flexible individual to support a family in caring for an 11-year-old child with a brain and spinal cord injury. The role primarily involves assisting the child with social activities after school, during holidays, and weekends, as well as providing support within the family home.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the client in accessing social activities and supporting them in the family home.
- Take the client to the gym and assist with physiotherapy programmes.
- Support the child with activities they enjoy, such as football and Xbox.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals, including therapists, to deliver high-quality care.
- Be sensitive to the family's needs and values, supporting the child’s parent in maintaining structure and routines.

**Requirements**:

- **Essential**:

- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build a rapport with the child.
- A car driver with availability to work flexible hours, including after school and weekends.
- Mental and physical stamina to support the child effectively.
- **Desirable**:

- Experience working with young people or children with additional needs.
- A positive, fun, and flexible personality.
- Ability to follow directions from the client’s parent and work independently.
- Willingness to learn and provide the best support.

**Benefits**:

**Example of Rotas (Term Time)**:
**Monday - Friday**: After-school hours, including flexible weekend shifts. Example:

- **Tuesday**: 17:00-21:00 (4 hours)
- **Saturday**: 11:00-16:00 (4 hours)
