**Salary**: £25,300 - £28,433 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

**Job Introduction**:
BBC Children in Need is adopting a new funding strategy designed to enhance our support to disadvantaged children and young people. This expands the current portfolio of emergency and responsive grant programmes with an additional focus on partnership funding.

BBC Children in Need exists to make a positive difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. Our refreshed objectives and activities will ensure the impact we have on children’s lives is front and centre of the work the charity undertakes over and above the projects and services we fund.

**Main Responsibilities**:
The Grant Operations Officer will support all aspects of the grant making functions and work as part of a team when required to support the charity’s Appeal Operations team.
- You will also have extensive experience of using databases regularly as well as working under pressure with high volumes of work and, importantly, experience of prioritising workloads effectively.
- You will be an advocate of great customer care with extensive experience of dealing regularly with the public.
- You will be computer literate with strong MS Office skills, including the ability to analyse and manipulate data and also interpret both written and oral information.
- You will be able to produce written communications which are clear and well written and also be a great listener by drawing out information over the telephone.
- Specific knowledge of children and young people’s services would be an advantage.
