**Job Overview**
SWe are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our systems engineering company based in the West End of Aberdeen. This is a varied and hands-on role ideal for someone with proven accounting experience, preferably in an Accounts Clerk position.

**Key Responsibilities**:
You will support the business with a wide range of accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative duties, including:
**Accounting & Financial Tasks**
- Maintain accurate records using spreadsheets, sales/purchase ledgers, and journals
- Calculate, check, and verify payments and records
- Process all sales & purchase invoices, credit card transactions, and staff expenses
- Reconcile bank accounts, receipts, payments, and direct debits
- Perform credit control duties and maintain petty cash
- Set up supplier and contractor payment runs
- Manage quarterly VAT returns
- Run monthly payroll, pensions, PAYE, and process year-end payroll (P11Ds, P60s)
- Prepare year-end accounts including:

- Chart of accounts
- Nominal activity
- Journals & depreciation
- Profit & loss, balance sheets
- Asset register

**Administrative & Support Duties**
- Handle daily incoming/outgoing post and respond to general queries
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable laws
- Digitally scan and file all accounts documents

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in an accounts role (Accounts Clerk preferred)
- Proficient in **Sage 50 Accounts** and **Sage Payroll**:

- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
