Office Assistant

We are looking for a Office Assistant who will pride themselves on delivering exceptional service for our clients. Your role will involve supporting the existing team of ten people within our busy European Freight Forwarding department. We will also look to develop and train you so that you have a full understanding of our processes, pricing, and business as a whole.
As a team we hold ourselves to high standards. We believe we deliver the best service possible for the client and we work hard to ensure these service levels don't slip; therefore we are looking for someone who shares these same values. In addition, you must be able to work to deadlines under pressure, be self-motivated, and prioritise personal workload in a demanding and busy environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring all relevant information is accurately entered onto our internal systems.
- Assisting the Customer Service team with general administration duties.
- Having a thorough and concise approach to your duties.
- Quickly digesting and understanding a wide array of information and procedures.
- Relishing a busy and fast paced environment.
- Communicating in a clear and concise manner with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
- Appropriately directing more complex queries to the relevant staff.
- Maintaining the highest level of service and a quick response time to all incoming enquiries.
- Understanding the business as a whole and contributing towards our continued growth.
- To conform to a standard of personal conduct including appearance and behavior as designated and appropriate.
- To attend internal or external training courses as directed.
- Completion of other associated duties as required.
The minimum requirements for this role are: - Grade 6 or above in GCSE Maths and English.
- A customer focused mentality and commercial awareness.
- Goods interpersonal skills and phone manner
- A strong grasp of numbers and good organisational skills
The starting salary for this role will be entry level / minimum wage depending on age and qualifications. However there is clear scope for progression for the right individual.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £17,000.00-£19,000.00 per year
