Professional Occupational Therapy Lead

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, innovative and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team within the Community Services Business Unit.
Due to the retirement of our current post holder we are now seeking to replace and extend this valuable role. We are looking for someone who will have a professional overview of all our Occupational Therapy services and teams and be able to further develop the strategy and vision for the profession. This is an excellent time to actively contribute to our Business Unit developments and put your ideas into practice.
The postholder will work collaboratively with the Clinical Specialists and Occupational Therapy Leads across the Business Unit; Paediatrics, Palliative Care, Learning Disability, Mental Health for Older People, Orthopaedics, Discharge and Proactive Care Services, in addition to directly managing the Specialist Services Team. This team comprises stroke, rheumatology, splinting, neurology and falls.
There is an active Trust-wide AHP Collaborative which will welcome the new OT Professional Lead. There will be opportunities to work with other AHP Professional Leads and Nursing colleagues on joint initiatives to support strategic and workforce developments.
