1st Line Service Desk Engineer

We are WorkwithYork and we are working with our client in IT who requires a 1st Line Service Desk Engineer.
This is a full time role for 6 months, Monday to Friday and based in York city centre.
The pay rate is £11.40 per hour.
This role involves:
- Responding to Mobile Device faults and equipment orders on a call logging / ticketing system.
- Resolving mobile device issues both remotely (over the phone or on Skype/Teams) and in person, depending on the circumstances.
- Using Microsoft AD and Microsoft Azure to manage and fix user account issues.
- Fixing software problems on both Android and IOS phones and tablets.
- Helping to resolve basic printer issues when necessary.
- Offering support and covering the print unit with essential printing when demand is high.
- Tagging, logging and setting up new council equipment when a delivery comes in.
- Changing details on the asset management system when devices get re-assigned.
You will have:
- Previous 1st line experience
- Strong IT knowledge
- Good customer service skills
- The ability to multi-task
- The initiative to work unaided
