Three permanent vacancies and one 12 month FTC. These are site based roles covering multiple sites over a large geographical area from West London to Reading to Bristol, and possibly further South/South West ad-hoc. This involves extensive travel and overnight stays.

**About the role**

In this role you’ll play an important part in keeping our construction sites running at their highest potential - acting as the key site interface between us, and the Principal Contractor. You’ll supervise the site at a project level - making sure the Principle Contractor complies with program, contract, cost, quality and SHEQ requirements.

The range of projects you’ll work on is extensive and exciting - from expanding the transmission network and the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, to connecting renewable energy generators to the grid

You’ll ensure that the Principal Contractor is pro-actively discharging their duties under the Construction Design & Management (CDM) regulations, that regular site safety walks are taking place, site access is being effectively controlled and that all applicable technical specifications are being met.

It’ll be important for you to attend site coordination meetings with the contractors on each site and to review the compliance of all mandatory and required documentation (Temporary Works, Quality, Environmental, Risk Assessments and Method Statements). Undertaking the role of the Project Engineers representative on site, you will be familiar with all aspects of the contract documentation and will maintain records of site progress, manpower, plant and equipment - helping to drive efficiencies and improvements.

**What you'll need**

Essential;
- Solid engineering/construction site experience
- Some supervisory/management experience in a construction environment
- Strong understanding of CDM Regulations
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Current full driving licence

Desirable;
- HNC/HND qualification in an engineering/construction discipline
- NEBOSH, IOSH or SMSTS
- Member of CQI or IRCA
