The role will require you to transport low dependency patients to and from treatment centres in a comfortable, caring, compassionate, empathetic and reassuring, timely manner to defined standards based on the principles of CQC standard domains - Caring, Responsive, Effective, Well Led and Safe - C.R.E.W.S. Working as an Ambulance Care Assistant is highly rewarding, allowing you to make a difference to the experience of patients living with illnesses. Key elements of the role
- Maintain high standards of patient Care demonstrated by maintaining patient dignity, respect and privacy, communicating effectively delivering a service in an empathetic manner
- Support the delivery of a Responsive service delivery to meet individual needs of patients and continual improvement of service delivery, providing the necessary level of flexibility, working beyond shift finish times to complete duties
- Effective service by working effectively as a team to ensure patient centred care and service
- Support the management team to ensure well led service by reporting concerns, communicating with line managers
- Provide Safe services by the safe use of equipment and vehicles, safe comfortable driving and maintenance of infection control standards
- Use and care of equipment
- Reliable and on-time
- Timeliness of reporting completion or amendments to planned journeys
- Flexibility
- Careful and considerate drivers.
- Understanding of patients' abilities (conditions/ limitations)
- Good people skills with a polite and friendly manner
- You will be required to move patients
- A good knowledge of the local area
- Experience in the industry is essential for this role
- A full driving licence (no more than 3 points)
- An enhanced disclosure check is required (DBS) cost will be covered by the business
- Able to provide a minimum of 2 references. References must cover the last 3 years of employment.

Pay: £11.50-£14.50 per hour
