Our beliefin people and what they can achieve. **Your role at Orbit.** Orbit are delighted to announce that we are recruiting for an experienced IT Asset Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. The role is newly created position where you will be responsible for owning and operating the management of IT asset records,so that business value is maximised from the optimisation of total cost of ownership, resource and capability, and accounting. In this role of IT Asset Manager, you will have three key areas of responsibility. These are: - Asset and configuration management - Software licence compliance - Deputise for the IT Governance Manager in the role of Change Manager as needed Asset management: - Ensuring that the structure and accuracy of the IT Asset Register - Working with a wide range of stakeholders to manage the lifecycle for all managed assets - Supplying accurate and timely records and reports of assets - Tracking software licensing, ensuring compliance and actively seeking to reduce costs. - Identifying and advising on: - Opportunities to maximise asset value and minimise operating costs - Processes to identify and allocate costs / benefits - Secure storage and management - Improvements to investment decisions Configuration management: - Owning the management of the configuration management system including the configuration management database (CMDB) - Championing the business value from secure configuration management - Identifying and maintaining methods to identify, track, log and maintain accurate, complete and current information **What will help you make a difference.** To be successful in this IT Asset Manager role you will need to be a process driven individual with a keen eye for detail that has previous experience in a similar role. It is also essential that you: - Have experience of developing, implementing and operating Asset Management tools and processes - Can administer and analyse records and databases containing large volumes of data with excellent attention to detail - Can build good relationships with key IT team members in order to ensure compliance - Have experience of standard ITSM tools to automate configuration processes; Ivanti desirable. - Have experience of moving assets to and from their correct physical and virtual locations. - Can travel to office locations - Have experience of software licence compliance management **Why Orbit?** **Rewarding your contribution.** For those who want or need more of a work life balanceour view is that this role is suitable for WorkSmart.
