Together we’re shaping/creating a cleaner, greener future for our 11 million customers who we put at the heart of everything we do. **About The Role** Asset management is at the heart of our business and this is an opportunity to join our growing asset management community working on a key area of our business.We are looking for an individual with energy, a problem solver who can deal with analysis andthen communicate with a variety of stakeholders.A can do attitude and a desire to learn and improve things are essential.If you have experience in the gas industry then great and we equally value the diversity that a broader experience will bring. The area we need your focus on will be our approach to replacing our old metallic pipe network with new and less leaky plastic pipes.We need to consider the risk, cost and performance of these assets and support our internal andexternal stakeholdersin setting the future agenda.This is an area of real importance delivering critical safety benefits, environmental benefits and impacting on our total (totex) cost base. You will be responsible for circa £2.5bn of our investment plans over the next 5 years. If you are excited by this challenge and think you can make a positive difference why not throw your hat in the ring. **Key Accountabilities** - Build strong relationships with our internal Investment Planning Offices and provide a valued service which helps them plan and manage a 5 year rolling investment plan (NAMP) - Ensure strong relationships with other Gas Distribution Networks and regulators; vocally represent Cadent’s interests at industry forums in order to influence regulation - Accountable for creating and embedding asset strategies and plans which achieve Cadent’s objectives and meet our regulatory commitments - Accountable for developing asset strategies and plans which balance cost, risk and performance of the gas distribution network assets in line with our customer and stakeholder expectations - Work closely with a wide range of stakeholders including Network Investment Planning Offices, Engineering, Asset Data, Finance and Commercial to deliver an industry leading Asset Management capability - Accountable for describing and quantifying the potential impact of different future demand scenarios, including hydrogen, on our assets **About You** Ideally with an inquisitive and analytical mind, you will have a background in Asset Management at a mid to senior level of expertise. Maybe you come from a similar industry? Energy. Water, Rail, Highways or other or you have an established Consultancy background? Either way - come and talk. You will be confident in working with key stakeholders both internal and external, providing justification of requirements with strong evidence gained from data within this environment. Strong presentation skills are essential as you will in essence ensure we bid effectively and professionally for the funding required to ensure all is good in Cadent Gas.
