Asset Surveyor Required To Join Leading Birmingham/Midlands Housing Association On A Permanent Contract.Apply now, read the job details by scrolling down Double check you have the necessary skills before sending an application.My client one of Birminghams most highly reputable housing associations requires an Asset surveyor to join their maintenance & asset division.You will be a key part of their organization helping them manage and maintain their large housing stock of 30,000 homes across Birmingham, Worcester, Hereford & Coventry.Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage multiple investment projects using effective project, contract and budget management.Ensure customers requirements are defined, detailed, considered, and respected making sure that customers are always informed of issues and progress.Prepare and submit documentation as required to obtain Statutory Approvals including Planning and Building Regulations requirements and to ensure all required permissions are obtained.Plan, manage, monitor and coordinate the health and safety of a project to comply with the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015.Identify HHSRS hazards in domestic properties, ensure hazards are reported promptly, and arrange any repairs or specialist surveys required.Identify emergency repairs, such as damp and mould as defined under Awaabs Law, ensuring they are reported and progressed in accordance with the required timescales.Undertake Access Audits to communal areas and prepare detailed reports to identify compliance with DDA requirements and to recommend and specify improvements Salary: £45,074 Hours: 37 hours per week Locations: Birmingham, Coventry, Worcester, Hereford Benefits: Annual Leave: Annual leave starts at 26days per year,(increasing by 1 day per full years service up to 31 days)plus bank holidays, Annual leave purchase scheme option to buy up to an additional 5 days per year Enhanced family leave (maternity, paternity and adoption) Organisational sick pay Generous Pension Scheme The option to contribute 4%, 6% or up to 10%which Citizen will match Health and Wellness: Comprehensive health insurance and wellness programs.Work-Life Balance: Flexible working hours and generous leave policies.Employee Development: Access to training programs and career development resources.Mobile Working Mileage and working hours calculated from home to place of work Mileage paid in accordance with HMRC rates Requirements: Experience of procurement and delivery of major works programmes including contract management, budgetary control and stakeholder consultation.Knowledge and understanding of standard forms of contract as applicable to the construction industry.Knowledge and understanding of the legislative frameworks applicable to the housing sector for example PAS 2030/PAS 2035, Awaabs Law, CDM regulations, Decent Homes.Knowledge of Construction, Housing Disrepair and building pathology Knowledge of Planning and Building Regulations and the Building Safety Regulator.Experience of managing Health and Safety, relating to recognised hazards within all types of social housing. xsabvtc A recognised qualification in a building related subject Full UK driving licence to enable you to travel across areas where Citizen operates Interested in a promising careers with one of the West Midlands best employers?
