Workshop Supervisor
Shorterm Group are looking for a Workshop Supervisor in Maidenhead
Workshop Supervisor to manage the workshop within a busy CNC Laser Cutting Environment. The role will be to oversee the shop floor management and line management of multiple staff.
Key Role Responsibilities:
*To lead and motivate our Laser Workshop.
*Overseeing our two Lasers.
*Responsible for Goods In/Out and arrange internal & external deliveries.
*Liaising with Production Staff to help and assist plan workflow. Making sure jobs are delivered on time.
*Stock Control and Management.
*Some elements of quality control - Parts should be checked prior (first off check).
*We are looking for someone who can work on your own initiative.
*Ensuring You and your team adhere to Health and Safety Requirements.
*Be able to read and Interpret Engineering drawings.
*Someone who is confident and can deal with internal and external stakeholders.
*Operating CNC laser machines (training available)
Ideal Requirements:
*Positive attitude and strong work ethic
*Competent within Engineering and/or Manufacturing.
*Preferred sheet metal / fabrication experience
*Good communication skills and a willingness to learn
*Experience of managing a team within Manufacturing or Engineering.
*Computer literate.
*Experience operating CNC machines would be advantageous.
*Working within the Manufacturing Industry.
*Ability to read engineering drawings.
*Must be physically fit, there will be a requirement for some manual lifting.
*Fork Lift License would be advantageous.
*Reliable and Honest.
*Live within commuting distance to Maidenhead, Berkshire.
The rate of pay is negotiable, depending on experience, regular overtime is always available.
