We are seeking a motivated and passionate qualified medicines counter assistant (or equivalent). Since Noak Bridge pharmacy is based in a village, we feel it is important for our employees to be able to build a strong relationship with the local community including our patients and local healthcare professionals.

We are looking for someone who is able to work Tuesday-Friday 9am to 1pm and alternate Saturdays 9am to 1pm.

Previous retail experience is essential; experience within a pharmacy is desirable. We are looking for someone who is reliable, committed, friendly and works well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are essential, when working in a pharmacy, in order to meet customer needs, provide advice and communicate with other healthcare professionals.

The role itself will involve:

- offering advice to patients on the use of medications as well as general health and lifestyle
- receiving and handing over prescriptions
- collecting prescription charges or ensuring the patient/representative has completed the reverse side of the prescription
- replenishing stock to meet the needs of our patients, without overstocking
- date checking
- working as part of a team to ensure the pharmacy is kept tidy at all times
- answering the phone and handling queries to the best of your ability, referring to other members of the team when necessary
- if qualified, assisting with dispensary duties including dispensing and labelling of prescriptions

Please note, we may, from time to time ask you to cover sick leave or annual leave. This is a reciprocal agreement among staff, and we ask that all staff are flexible where possible.

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are required to wear PPE (unless exempt) and plastic screens have been installed within the pharmacy. We also request that patients continue to wear masks within the premises.
