Working with the UKG Product Director you will develop UKG’s brand plans and product portfolio to meet UKG’s strategic and financial goals. This is a broad, complex role, responsible for setting the strategic direction and driving strategic initiatives for Brand.
- With a changing retailer landscape, and increased competition, the role requires a high level of knowledge and extensive experience to ensure appropriate strategies are implemented to meet the business, consumer or customer needs including range, pricing, cost of product, sustainability, and merchandising strategies.
- The role is responsible for managing multiple Marketing disciplines, including primary control of Product Management, Inbound and Outbound Licensing and Consumer and Channel Insight.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Setting the strategic Marketing direction for UKG Brand encompassing consumer and product insight, sales analysis and market trends.
- Identifying opportunities to drive future product opportunities to meet consumer and customer needs. This includes setting program objectives and utilising pricing tools to develop pricing strategies.
- Developing Consumer and Channel Insights Strategies, along with the Channel Director and the UKG Product Director.
- Directing pricing, margin and cost of goods strategies to meet objectives to ensure they continue to lead versus key competitors.
- Monitoring competitor activity and changes in pricing and product development
- Preparation of the annual marketing plan.
- Setting and implementing the strategy, ensuring adherence to budget, looking for ways to reduce ongoing cost of goods and sku number optimisation to ensure costs and obsolescence are under control, maintaining regular contact with Supply Chain to meet this objective.

Experience Required:
- Recent relevant experience working within a management role in a Marketing, Brand, Product with a good understanding of Retail and Product Development. Multiple retailer buying or category management experience would be preferable.
- Proven management and people skills - the role involves the management of a large marketing team as well as being able to build and maintain excellent relationships both internally and externally.
- Experience of managing substantial budgets is essential.
- Great project management and technical skills are required to make this role a success.
