You’ll have an important part to play as the Finance Assistant supporting the McLaren Finance Manager delivering the internal and external outputs required. Focussed primarily on inventory and inventory related reporting, you’ll ensure accurate valuation and correct operation of financial and warehouse processes. You will also manage daily, weekly and monthly tasks in conjunction with ad-hoc requests and investigations. As the role develops there will be scope to support across the wider McLaren account and become the super user on the new ERP system

Your key responsibilities will include:
Inventory accuracy
- Reviewing pricing variances on inbound inventory and updating costs where appropriate
- Reviewing manual inventory adjustments to ensure no impact on cost
- Reviewing progress on clearing of aged items
- Monitoring and ensuring completion of the PI counting process and reporting on overall stock loss

Packer Processes
- Ensuring that the correct process is completed for the receipt and packing of product in the system
- Review packing uplift pricing against required activity to ensure that costs charged to the client are correct
- Monitor consumable stocks vs system stocks and adjustments processed
- Investigate where invoices from vendors are received with no corresponding delivery booked on the system

Administration
- Help support the administration of incoming overhead invoices through the sign off routes
- Inventory reporting
- Review and update inventory forecasts for the client to ensure Unipart input is accurate and complete
- Suggest process improvements

Monthly routines focussed on:

- Inventory cost reporting and updating all provision analysis
- Completing client facing reports for inventory
- Correcting where required packing charges applied during the month

**About You**

**Essential**

At least 2 days a week will be based in Nuneaton site.

Qualified to degree or equivalent level

Highly analytical approach and with a passion for working with data

High level of competency on Excel or Google Sheets

Motivated to self develop and support others development

**Desirable**

Working towards a certified accounting qualification whilst in role.

Experience within a financial environment

Experience on SAP ECC6 or SAP HANA

Teamwork ethic
