**External Communications Executive - City of London**

**£4 0,000 - £45,000*DOE**

**09:00-17: 00pm (Full time, Permanent)**

This fantastic company is looking for you to join them as an External Communications Executive working for a global company in the heart of the City, liaising with stakeholders and delivering global communication strategies. You will be working for a globallyrenowned company which has been operating for over 100 years and has extensive knowledge within insurance.

**Could this be your next career move?**
- Management of external PR agency relationship
- Monitor emerging issues, identify risk areas and prepare responses as needed
- Support the Head of Communications with the CEO/executive traditional and social media agenda.
- Ad hoc speech writing
- Build on and maintain media network of key journalists and publications - including regular meetings and ad hoc engagement.
- Daily media monitoring and handling incoming press enquiries from international, national and trade press
- Manage variety of internal spokespeople to support proactive media agenda
- Develop and deliver communications strategies for global external audiences -with a particular focus on media relations and social media
- Develop submissions for industry awards/accolades
- Liaise with other teams within the company on matters relevant to the media
- Delivery of annual report & accounts
- Promote the brand and values to enhance the company's reputation in the market

**You wil l be able to use the following competencies in the role**:

- Must have previous professional services experience - ideally within financial services, however this is not essential
- External communications experience is necessary
- Media relations experience is also required
- Experience using in house internal intranet systems is ideal
- Exception writing skills
- Excellent communication skills both with internal and external stakeholders
- A friendly team player who is keen to join a collaborative and down to earth team

**Is this you?**

You will have previous experience within media relations and working with internal intranet systems. You will be hard working and have excellent communication skills to provide strong strategies for the company.
