External Affairs Executive

External Affairs Executive needed for a nationwide facilities and property business

**Salary**: Up to £40,000 DOE

Location: Central London - Very Flexible Working Policy

Contract: 12 Month FTC

A role responsible for the external communications of policies and movement within the business. A delivery role for the proactive public affairs activity with the business.

A lot of involvement with civil servants and with a new massive push for politic stakeholder engagement, this role is key. Government relationships are privy to this role so experience within this area is key.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead high quality briefing with civil servants, MPs and ministers - to let them know what the movement within the business is and growth plans.
- Deliver proactive external affairs activity, and devise programmes to promote the positive reputation of the brand.
- Collaborate with colleagues from the wider communications and marketing team to identify target stakeholders in line with the companies vision and ethics.
- Provide effective support of political engagements.
- Collaborate with senior internal leadership team members to assist them.

**Requirements**:

- Experience providing public affairs as a service within a service / facilities organisation.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics if possible, or other CRM systems.
- Must have an ability to handle challenging relationships.
- Must be self-motivated and versatile in your approach to external communications.
- Good knowledge of the local and national political landscape.
- Understanding of the types of stakeholders and parties one would need to work with in the public sector.

This is a 12 Month FTC, with an immediate start date. Flexible working with bi-weekly non-negotiable meeting in Central London.
