Introduction to Ogilvy:
We’re looking for a passionate strategic and creative Communications Executive to work across Ogilvy UK’s employee communications, social and external comms supporting our Communications Director and Senior Account Manager.

Supporting the communications function within a very fast-paced and highly creative business, this role involves assisting in developing, managing and implementing the group comms strategy throughout the agency, on our socials platforms and externally with the aim of bringing Ogilvy’s talent, work and spirit to life.

It is important that you have the ability to build strong relationships and enjoy the confidence of the business leaders, inclusion networks and wider teams. You should have active understanding and experience of media relations and events. Experience and love for social media is preferred, as you will help curate and evolve Ogilvy UK’s channels. We are leaders across all platforms and this is an essential part of our marketing and PR approach.

You will need to have excellent writing skills, media relations knowledge and social media asset development abilities. You should feel comfortable with providing a comms point of view and support to the Comms Director on a daily basis, whilst helping to drive the day to day comms initiatives.

You are an energetic ambitious emerging professional who has initiative, opinions, and an ability to analyse and solve problems, you can help develop and implement comms programmes and assist in the development and delivery of a high-quality product by the team.

The role will ensure that all communications work is delivered swiftly, effectively and efficiently to a high standard (reflecting the highly creative output of our business), using appropriate KPI’s to measure progress, and within the agreed budget.

Your Role at Ogilvy:

- Help develop, manage and implement Ogilvy UK’s internal, external and social Communications Plan
- Work with key stakeholders at all levels of the business to identify and find the best ways to share announcements, news, stories and other content around Ogilvy’s work, people and spirit
- Assist the Account Manager in publishing social media content daily across all platforms
- Help create, edit and commission content - including long and short form written pieces, video, audio and more - for all group internal and social platforms
- Assist in updating, reviewing and auditing internal and social platforms to ensure they are being used to their full potential, and identify new platforms that could be used
- Help write press releases, biographies, case studies and other external assets for media took kits
- Ensure the Internal Comms Policy is being adhered to so that communications are being created and shared according to best marketing and IC practice - this is especially important within Ogilvy’s fast-paced and high-output environment
- Help co-ordinate, facilitate and monitor feedback at all levels and use this to support the development of the internal comms strategy
- Support and advise the Talent Management function on internal communications activities to help enhance employee engagement across the business
- Manage specific communications projects as directed by implenting campaigns to promote and support projects and activities both externally and internally
- Technologically literate and confident to learn new skills, you wil work with the Events Manager to develop and deliver significant live and virtual events
- Helping the Account Manager to plann and execute regular agency meetings (live and virtual)

**Qualities**

A track record of supporting external and internal communications campaigns. This person will have drive, ambition and opinions, and be able to confidently and articulately influence their colleagues, as well as possess a good working knowledge of the power and potential of internal and external comms. Have a background in corporate and/or creative sector communications with experience of helping to deliver successful communications campaigns. Initiaitive and a critical eye to ensure high standards and latest news is reflective across agency touchpoints.

Indepth knowledge of social media best practice and asset development is critical.

- Good interpersonal skills to build relationships with key stakeholders and influencers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Must be a professional communicator who understands the vital role of good communication in achieving ambitious change and driving the performance of the business
- Proven experience in developing and managing internal communication strategies and programmes, including planning and execution, budget setting and cost control
- Be able to network confidently and influentially at all levels of business
