**The role**
Procurement is a core strategic function of the organisation and is essential to the ongoing success of the business. The primary purpose of this role is to increase buying capacity and leadership within the department and enable increased focus on productdevelopment projects and cost saving initiatives to continue to deliver for the customer base in the most competitive way possible.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Senior Buyer is to provide a dedicated procurement service to production and the wider business. Duties include (but are not limited to):
- To coordinate and ensure all areas of spend, are channelled through Central Procurement.
- To manage the day to day priorities of the team.
- To manage the supply base of suppliers and contractors.
- Support the Procurement Manager in arranging suitable contracts and supply agreements for the goods and services required.
- Assist the Procurement Manager in raising the profile of Procurement within the organisation.
- Ensure that all procurement activity and tender requirements are in accordance with the company's processes.
- Lead on the internal relationships with all service areas, identifying key areas for review driven by stakeholder requirements.
- Lead on continuous fast paced NPI projects to support bringing new custom to the business
**About you**:
To be chosen for the role you must possess the following skills/experience:
- Track record of procurement at Buyer level or above
- Highly organised and analytical
- The ability to identify and recommend process improvements
- Proficient in the use of MS Office tools
**What you get in return**:
- Salary £34,000 - £36,000
- Benefits include: Bonus Scheme, Private Medical, Life Assurance, Reward Schemes
- Monday to Friday role
- Permanent
