TC Group would love to hear from you. We have an excellent career opportunity for a Trainee Accountant to join our North Essex team in their Clacton on Sea office.

The accounts team prepares accounts for a variety of external clients from organisations across the UK. You will be involved in accounts preparation, assisting and running payroll, VAT returns and building relationships with clients.

As a Trainee Accountant, you will join the team as an apprentice, you’ll work towards a formal accountancy qualification (AAT) and start your journey towards a fulfilling and rewarding accountancy career. With the benefits of on the job learning and structured training, you will be given all the skills and support you need as well an impressive client list. Senior members of the team will support with training and our internal training will help you develop in the role.

Initially you will be part of a larger team before taking on individual responsibility for your clients. In time, you will have your own client portfolio and will be the main contact for all their requirements.

What we are looking for

To be a successful Trainee Accountant, we are looking for dynamic, ambitious individuals with a positive ‘can do’ attitude who are looking for a challenge.

You will have pace, accuracy and understand the importance of excellent client service.

You will have confidence with numbers, great attention to detail and the ability to confidently talk to people to build client relationships.

Highly personable with excellent verbal and written communication is also crucial.

Accountancy can be technically demanding with new concepts and regulatory changes to grasp. You should be able to learn quickly and be at ease with grasping new concepts.

**Qualifications**:
In addition, you will have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate excel skills as a minimum.
