This is a new trainee role that presents an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our organisation at a pivotal time in our development and growth. We are looking for someone who wants to grow and develop their long-term career in accountancy with us.

**The duties will include**:

- Office admin
- Liaising with the client regarding onboarding matters and accounting documentation
- Bookkeeping & VAT: using financial software's to efficiently deal with company transactions.
- Payroll processing & Company secretarial support
- Using Microsoft Excel to manipulate various data sources, to ensure they are recorded accurately.
- Liaising with HMRC and other third parties for general queries.
- Responding to client queries and assisting with ad hoc requests.

**The successful Junior Accountant /Trainee will have /be**
- Very keen to learn
- Receptive to feedback.
- A strong emphasis on customer service.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with autonomy, with a curious mind to look for answers.
- Process driven and has a desire to challenge and improve existing processes.
- Ambition to become a qualified accountant

College/Uni students and PSW holders too can apply. Salary commensurate with the skill set.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Southend-on-Sea: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- accounting: 1 year (preferred)
