Asset Data Analyst

We are seeking a GIS Asset Data Analyst to join our successful, national gas distribution client in Hinkley/Ansty. This is a 12-month contract and the salary is £20,067 with the ability to increase to £23,608 following probation.

Job specification
As an Asset Data Analyst, you'll be working within a highly technical unique team, helping to remediate our client's asset records and supporting the continual improvement of their Asset Data Integrity.
You'll be a key player in helping to ensure that asset data and the processes and systems supporting it are fit for purpose. You will be trained in the use of GIS mapping software.
Key accountabilities of Asset Data Analyst will also include:
- Performing visual assessments, comparing multiple datasets to identify areas of interest requiring further investigation
- Identifying suitable remediation activities whilst adhering to a structured change impact assessment process
- Use of analysis and inference methods to inform recommended remediation activity approaches
- Working to a high level of performance whilst maintaining quality and accuracy standards
Skills & Experience
- Working knowledge of SAP and GIS systems
- Motivated to learn new skills and tools and be flexible to deal with change
- Well organised, motivated, resourceful and able to demonstrate that you are passionate about continuous improvement, with the ability to work accurately within tight deadlines and on your own initiative
- Enthusiastic nature questioning approach and a keen eye for detail and high quality
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- The ability to build strong working relationships within and outside the immediate team
- Strategic thinker with technical skills in the support of data analysis
- Ability to proactively identify issues within the process
- Good numerical skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
