As a Barclays Counterparty Control Analyst you will be responsible for sanctioning and monitoring credit exposures to Barclays counterparties. The Risk Information Services (RIS) Counterparty Credit Risk team is primarily responsible for ensuring adequatemonitoring and control of credit exposures arising from trading activities in Barclays. The RIS also provides a credit control function that is responsible for limit monitoring, excess/exposure management and providing credit clearance for flow derivativeproducts.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Supporting the Front Office during trading hours to obtain trade clearance across a wide product base including all Derivatives & Securities Financing Transactions
- Maintaining all Electronic Platforms (Reuters/EBS) and demonstrating an understanding of the mechanics behind them
- Playing a pivotal role in managing Credit Crisis alerts
- Dealing with regular and ad hoc report requests
- Performing Project work and systems testing
**What we're looking for**:

- Knowledge of wide range of financial products, including all derivatives (Interest Rate, FX, Equity and Commodity) and exchange trading
- Ability to stay motivated and focused when working independently Flexible, excellent communicator with the ability to build wide networks
- General understanding of credit risk concepts and bond markets
**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Excellent performance in a business or numerate degree, or equivalent
- Experience of credit risk management and control systems A working knowledge of or desire to learn VBA & SQL
- Experience of working directly with commercial traders and sales people
- Experience in a role that was responsible for routine reporting and/or MIS production
