An excellent opportunity to join a business based near Malton as a Finance Assistant. Salary is up to £30,000 (depending on experience) alongside an extensive benefits package with generous holidays, pension contribution and further.

The successful individual will assist and work within the Finance Team and will be supporting with the transactional responsibilities such as VAT and HMRC and Payroll liaison.

Key responsibilities for the successful Finance Assistant will include:

- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end audit
- Assisting with the management of daily/weekly/monthly cashflow
- Taking ownership of transactional responsibilities including VAT, HMRC and Payroll (liaison).
- Management of Sales Ledger and Credit Control duties
- Posting of monthly prepayments, accruals and fixed assets
- Other ad hoc reports and projects, as required by the Finance Team

We are keen to speak with individuals who have previous experience in a similar finance role, you may currently be an Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant or Finance Officer looking for your next challenge.

To be successful in this Finance Assistant role you will ideally have:

- Strong accountancy software skills such as Sage, Xero, Quickbooks
- Computer literate and have experience using MS Excel
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience working autonomously and be able to manage your own workload

This role is easily commutable from Malton, York or surrounding areas.
