**INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY**
We’re looking for a creative expert who can encourage and support our local teams and projects, and help to lead the Trust’s approach to high-quality, audience led programming and experiences in London and South-East. You will help teams drive and diversify visits in response to audiences wants and needs.
This is a fixed term contract due to end when the postholder returns to the role. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.
What it's like to work here:You’ll be part of the Trust’s internal consultancy: a flexible resource of specialist skills and expertise. As one of a multidisciplinary team of experts, including curators, fundraisers, building surveyors and project managers, you’ll be working with others to help make things happen.
Your contractual place of work will be the National Trust office at Hughenden, or the nearest National Trust consultancy office to your home. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40-60% of your working week.
What you'll be doing:You'll be the primary contact for a cluster of properties across the region as well as leading on a strategic area or visit growth programme, based on your existing expertise and skills. You’ll share insight into audiences, and creative ideas about how to meet their needs, with your colleagues at National Trust sites, helping them to develop appealing experiences for everyone.
Your day to day work may vary between supporting visitor growth, cultural programming and interpretation, but your expertise and knowledge of audiences will always be at the core of what you do.
You’ll be comfortable working both strategically and practically. You’ll develop positive relationships with colleagues across the Trust and with external partners, as part of a cultural network of practitioners.
Please also read the full role profile attached.
**Who we're looking for*Internal Applicants only**
Our colleagues work for the National Trust in many locations and sometimes don't have easy access to internal vacancy listings. Using the internet ensures we can reach as many of our colleagues as possible. We appreciate that this can be frustrating for external talent. Do note that some roles are released externally after an initial period of time.
**We’d love to hear from you if you’re**:
- highly experienced in devising and creating visitor experiences to deliver growth and diversify visitors
- familiar with commissioning or procuring services
- adept at undertaking, interpreting and responding to research, management information and evaluation, to meet audience needs
- a skilled communicator, who can build strong relationships within diverse teams, both internally and externally
- a flexible thinker and problem-solver, skilled at influencing and building productive networks
- proactive and organised, with experience of managing projects and a talent for multi-tasking and getting things done, focusing on detail, quality, cost and time
The packageThe National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart. We’re working hard to create an inclusive culture, where everyone feels they belong. It’s important that our people reflect and represent the diversity of the communities and audiences we serve. We welcome and value difference, so when we say we’re for everyone, we want everyone to be welcome in our teams too.
