**Who are Bird & Blend Tea co?**

Bird & Blend was set up and is run by Krisi and Mike, who met whilst studying Politics (of all things) at university. Starting off packing tea in their bedroom and attending markets, building Bird & Blend from scratch while staying true to our ethos and values has been Krisi and Mike’s passion. **What does a production team leader do?**
You will work closely on a daily basis with the Production Manager and existing Team Leader to assist with the supervision of our production room and team. Your main focus will be to aid the smooth running and timely completion of the production schedule each day, while keeping the team motivated. You will help to guide the team on timings and targets, as well as maintaining production room standards, systems and equipment, to help drive efficiency. Your main responsibilities will be majoritively Production team based, but you will also aid daily communication with Fulfilment and the Warehouse. You will be expected to step up as the main point of contact and run the room when a manager is not available. As Team Leader you will lead by example, working hard and smart, while being open and approachable to make sure the rest of the team feel motivated, confident, trusted and happy.

**What are my Responsibilities?**
- Supervise the rest of the team to ensure the production room functions to a high standard
- Overseeing the room set up/clean down and planning ahead so the transition between tasks is as efficient as possible
- Key holder after probation period passed
- Liaising with Fulfillment about additional requests, wholesale orders, and post deadlines
- Checking supplies on a weekly basis to request timely re-orders and coordinating with warehouse about stock in/out of production
- Providing training to new and existing team members
- Ensuring the production room is always clear, tidy and free from any health and safety issues / risks
- Provide basic first aid and complete accident reports where required. First aid online training will be provided
- Keep informed of new products and protocols to pass on to the rest of the team, alongside the manager.
- Completing general equipment maintenance and reporting larger issues
- Help to update the production room systems daily (traceability, temperature checks, damage reports, maintenance reports, tea issue log, low stock)

**Additional details**

**Working hours**: Please note that this department operates during Bank Holidays, although you are fully entitled to request them off as holiday. Although we normally operate Sunday - Friday 8 - 4.30pm, flexibility will be required over peak periods, including the Xmas period and the Company reserves the right to require you to work different hours and days, including weekends according to the needs of the business, whether temporary or on a permanent basis. This may involve shorter or longer hours of work or working different days of the week or at different times of the day in accordance with operational requirements.
