European Institutional Sales Strategist, VP1 (London, Hybrid)

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced strategist for our European Institutional Sales Strategy Team. The team is a key resource for our sales and relationship management teams, providing insights on institutional market trends and equipping colleagues to engage with clients on key opportunities.

In addition, the strategist will contribute to business strategy for the region, monitoring market trends, and maintaining and developing insights from high quality management information on our sales business. The strategist will help identify key sales opportunities across the region, and develop and support campaigns to capitalize on those opportunities.

This role is part of the Global Client Coverage Group and you will report to the Head of European Institutional Sales Strategy

What you will be responsible for

As European Institutional Sales Strategist you will- Serve as channel expert during meetings with clients, prospects, consultants, advisors, platforms and partners- Develop insightful proprietary research and thought leadership material that can be leveraged across the client base working- Collaborate with Investment and Business Office stakeholders to develop the right product set, positioning, collateral and support for the institutional business- Provide strategic input to European institutional business development through identification of key issues and trends- Develop and support sales campaigns to capitalize on key opportunities in our markets- Maintain, develop and get insights from key management information on our sales business, and assist in reporting to leadership and stakeholders- Build and drive strong internal and external relationships, notably investment, distribution, and operations teams, and external clients, consultants, and industry organisations, working with relevant Account Executives- Contribute to the development and execution of the European Institutional business strategy, including product, distribution and marketing- Contribute to a culture of Risk Excellence and ensure compliance with State Street policy and regulatory requirements.

Education and experience requirements- 5 years+ years of Institutional market as a strategist or consultant- Excellent understanding of financial markets and the investment industry and trends- University degree in Finance or Economics preferred- CFA charterholder or equivalent qualification
