Live in Carer

Liberty Private Care are looking for a **LIVE IN CARER** for a client in the Bournemouth area. The pay rate is **£920/week** to look after a man with a long standing spinal injury. You** must **have previous experience looking after clients with a spinal injury plus have at least 2 years care experience. Another carer will come twice a day to double up with you and also to cover you for for your 2 hour daily break.

Our office is based in the area so you will receive full support from us. Our clients parents also live in the property but may go out during the day or go away on holiday. Our client lives close to the beach in a lovely part of Dorset. There is a dog in the property that you may be required to look after if our clients parents are away.

We are NOT an introduction agency, we are a domiciliary care company, regulated by CQC and **we employ our staff**, taking care of paying your tax and national insurance, we contribute to your pension scheme and we pay **holiday pay**, which is accrued from day 1.

**About The Role**

You will be fully supported by our management team and an on call service, so that someone will always be available to give you advice if something happens that you’re not sure how to deal with. A supervisor will visit regularly to support you. Training is given prior to starting the Live In which you would be paid for.

The hours worked are usually 9.30am - 10.30pm plus you will get a** 2 hour break** during the day. A food allowance of £7/day is also paid to buy your own food.

During your time living with our client, you will help them with personal care, administer medication, accompany them to the shops or events in the community, make them meal & drinks, do household chores and, most importantly, keep them company.

Previous experience with stoma care &/or bladder washouts would be an advantage, however, training can be given.

To provide the calibre of staff that we want to for our private client, we are looking for experienced carers with a minimum of 2 years experience in a CQC regulated service (hospital, nursing home, domiciliary care company). You need to be an affable, flexible person, with a ‘can do’ attitude and a caring nature. You also need to be a car driver so that you can take our client on trips out if required in his own mobility car.
