We are looking for Care Assistants to join our team at Avon View.

Avon View is a residential home on the outskirts of Christchurch offering accommodation for clients over 3 floors providing nursing, palliative, residential and dementia care. We work in a person-centred way providing support for people living with complex care needs.

**As a Care Assistant, your main responsibilities will include**:

- ** Supporting clients** with personal care, nutrition and hydration.
- ** Complying with Health and Safety** requirements in respect of moving and assisting and the use of equipment.
- ** Maintaining dignity,**privacy and respect for our clients.
- ** The ability to work flexibly** across shifts including days, evenings and alternate weekends.
- The ability to follow care plans and instructions.
- Good communication skills.
- Empathy with the needs of the clients.
- IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- NVQ Level 2 in Direct Care or willingness to achieve this.

**36 hours per week**

Nursing unit - 3 vacancies

Dementia and residential unit - 3 vacancies
