**The Vacancy**

Join our team at Avon View as a **Care Assistant.** Avon View, located just outside Christchurch, is a residential home that provides nursing, palliative, residential, and dementia care across three floors, supporting individuals with complex needs in a person-centred way.

**What you’ll do**:

- **Support clients** with personal care, nutrition and hydration.
- **Comply with Health and Safety** requirements in respect of moving and assisting and the use of equipment.
- **Maintain dignity,**privacy and respect for our clients.
- **Be able to work flexibly** across shifts including days, evenings and alternate weekends.

**What you need**:

- The ability to follow care plans and instructions.
- Good communication skills.
- Empathy with the needs of the clients.
- IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- NVQ Level 2 in Direct Care or willingness to achieve this.

**36 hours per week**

Nursing unit - 4 vacancies

Dementia and residential unit - 3 vacancies
