**Job Overview**
Due to the continued expansion of our Landscaping, Commercial Arb, Rail & Water departments an exciting opportunity exists for Site Supervisors.
Responsible for operational support and establish that arrangements are in place to ensure continued competence and medical fitness of all individuals involved in the work.
Overtime available.
We require you to work one weekend per month if needed.
All PPE will be provided.
Site works are mainly situated within Northamptonshire, although there may be occasions where longer travel is required.
**Key Responsibilities of Site Supervisor**
- Safety Management on Sites
- Environmental Management on sites
- Quality Management on sites
Competence Management of personnel on sites including arranging mentoring of personnel that are either newly qualified or poorly performing.
**The Site Supervisor is responsible for delivering the following**:
- Ensuring the adequacy of personnel supplied including validity of certification and competence and co-ordinating the training of employees.
- Implementation of the company policies, site rules and procedures.
- To be one of the key interfaces providing day to day contact with clients.
- To supervise and manage work sites on a possession when required.
- To check that work site inspections are carried out regularly to ensure quality and quantity meets the clients specification.
- To ensure Safety Inspections are carried out by the appropriate person.
- Reporting of accidents and incidents.
- Ensuring all tools and equipment are prepared before the shift and in working order.
**Other Responsibilities of Site Supervisor**
- Timesheets completed weekly
- Completing Vehicle Check Sheets
- POWRA Completion
- Communicating Daily Work Progress
- Reporting Close Calls / Accidents / Incidents
- Kit & Vehicle Cleanliness
- Equipment / Plant / Vehicle Fault reporting
- Safe Legal Driving of company vehicles (Over 21’s only)
- LOLER (CS38 holders)
- Bird Nesting & other Ecological Inspections
- Return Briefing Sign Off Forms as issued
- Wearing Correct PPE
- Your own and everyone’s Safety
- Yard Duties as Allocated
**Skills, Knowledge and Experience required by the Site Supervisors**
**Essential Knowledge, Skills & Accreditations**
- Minimum 5 years Supervision experience.
- Minimum 5 years in the Arboriculture and or grounds maintenance industry.
- Level 2 or above in relevant competencies.
- Experience in supervising multiple teams in various areas.
- The ability to work away or travel to meet client’s needs.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Punctual timekeeping
- Desire to work outdoors
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Adaptable and hard working
- Loyal and keen to learn
**Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Accreditations**
- Towing Licence (BE).
- CSCS card holder.
- Hedgecutter
- Brushcutter/trimmers
- Pedestrian / Ride-on / Remote Mower
- Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross Cutting
- Felling and Processing Trees (up to 380mm)
- EFAW
- CAT & Genny trained
- PA1 PA6
- Manual Handling
- Water Awareness
- PTS
