As our **Technical Coach Computing, **you** **will provide academic and or technical training to students to support achievement within the technical qualification of their programme. Through classroom and or workshop training you will aim to develop, improve and consolidate learning.

**Responsibilities of our** **Technical Coach Computing**:
- Preparing training materials, equipment, and resources for student activities which you are responsible for
- Delivering high-quality learning experiences which enable students to develop in their learning
- Delivering training to improve the technical and or academic skills of students.
- Supervising and providing instruction to groups of students to develop their skills and knowledge in relation to the qualification
- Assessing learning and measuring student progress through a range of assessment methods
- Supervising and facilitating employability and enrichment activities for students
- Ensuring that practical learning environments, equipment, machines, and plant comply with health and safety requirements, identifying necessary actions, and reporting through line management
- Maintaining individual student records to capture progress, including maintaining records of student attendance and initial assessment
- Contributing to the on-boarding of students such as interviewing, taster sessions, and attending open events as required
- Acting always as an ambassador for the college through a professional approach to internal and external customers
- Actively complying and contributing to the College’s policies and procedures, particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities, and Data Protection
**What we’re looking for in our** **Technical Coach Computing**:
- L2 maths and English
- First aid at work or willing to work towards
- Hold or be willing to work towards a relevant L3 teaching qualification e.g. PTLLS
- L4 Assessor qualification or willing to work towards
- Experience of demonstrating techniques for specialist areas (e.g., technical equipment, hardware, software)
The position requires flexibility, enthusiasm, and willingness to “go the extra mile” for our learners. Most important is a commitment to the student journey and adding value to their experience at College.
The ability to inspire learners is essential as well as being able to work as part of a small established team of sports/Public Services tutors. A Post Graduate Teaching or Education Qualification or Certificate in Education is not essential however, you must be willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
