**Salary: £22,669 per annum FTE**

**22 hours per week, 52 weeks per year**

As our **Academic Coach Business**, you** **will provide academic and or technical training to students to support achievement within the technical qualification of their programme. Through classroom and or workshop training you will aim to develop, improve and consolidate learning.

**Responsibilities of our** **Academic Coach Business**:

- Assessing learning in respect of the qualification
- Supporting the achievement of students through the development of practical and academic skills to include support for student learning activities in workshops, one to one and classrooms situations
- Providing teaching support on projects and assignments set by teachers
- Providing high-quality resource management including specialist equipment
- Monitoring and supporting students on work experience
- Contributing to the college’s vision to become outstanding
- Preparing training materials, equipment and resources for student activities which you are responsible for
- Delivering high-quality learning experiences which enable students to develop in their learning
- Delivering training improve the technical and or academic skills of students
- Supervising and providing instruction to groups of students to develop their skills and knowledge in relation to the qualification
- Assessing learning and measure student progress through a range of assessment methods
- Supervising and facilitating employability and enrichment activities for students
- Ensuring that practical learning environments, equipment, machines and plant comply with health and safety requirements, identifying necessary actions and reporting through line management
- Maintaining individual student records to capture progress, including maintaining records of student attendance and initial assessment
- Contributing to the on-boarding of students such as interviewing, taster sessions and attend open events as required

**What we’re looking for in our** **Academic Coach Business**:

- L2 maths and English
- First aid at work or willing to work towards
- Hold or be willing to work towards a relevant L3 teaching qualification e.g. PTLLS
- L4 Assessor qualification or willing to work towards
- Experience of demonstrating techniques for specialist areas (e.g., technical equipment, hardware, software)
- Experience of supporting classroom, training and workshop activities
