Responsibilities of the Website and Digital Lead:

- To lead on the operational running of the current Middlesbrough College Group websites and the content management strategy.
- To lead on the development of a new website for the Middlesbrough College Group from tender to implementation.
- To lead on the PPC strategy for the Middlesbrough College Group.
- To supervise the Marketing team’s website apprentice with project and workload management.
- To be actively involved in the attainment of objectives contained within the College’s Development Plan.
- To commit to the College’s Safeguarding Policy and promote a safe environment for children, young people and vulnerable adults within the College.

**Specifically the post holder's responsibilities will be as follows**:
**Website Responsibilities -**

- To take full ownership of the Middlesbrough College Group websites and lead on the content strategy including copy writing, imagery and text ensuring all materials and content is proof read, accurate and up to date.
- To oversee the creation of new landing pages to support marketing campaigns, promotional activity or new college initiatives using own written content or content, photography and graphics provided by the marketing and graphics teams.
- Identify content gaps and overlaps and provide suggestions to resolve these gaps.
- Ensure all website content is optimised for search engines and is appropriately tagged so that users can find relevant information in a straightforward manner.
- Establish and maintain performant 'core web vitals’ to drive improved quality scores and associated SEO rankings.
- Ensure websites are correctly set up to track the experience of users on the websites and to monitor marketing campaigns, allowing for analysis and further optimisation of content and experiences.
- Respond to user enquiries for all websites.
- Use research and analytics tools to measure the impact of content and obtain audience insights in order to determine future material to be written and shared.
- Produce monthly reports on website traffic management using analytics web software.
- Support course information and the Website Apprentices with Live Chat enquiries when required.
- To supervise the Website Apprentice who will add content to the websites through the CMS systems, identifying the correct place for content to sit in the website’s information architecture.
- To oversee the Website Apprentice’s editing of images for the websites using Photoshop or similar software.
- Liasie with the website development agency to ensure any errors / bugs or downtime are discovered quickly and fixed.
- Lead on the development of a new website project working alongside the Executive Director of Marketing and the IT department to
- carry out market research
- support development of tender document
- appoint a suitable agency
- support the development and delivery of the new website including populating the content for the site
- setting up marketing trackers and goals for all digital advertising
- ensure the site has regular updating and maintenance once live

**Digital Marketing Responsibilities -**

- To further develop and implement an effective and regular PPC marketing campaigns in line the wider marketing plans and strategy.
**General Responsibilities -**

- To act as a marketing business partner to several curriculum departments in the college and act as their key point of contact.
- Where required to provide assistance and support at a range of College events including Open Events, A Level Results Day etc.
- To ensure completion of agreed projects and training objectives as agreed wth the Director of Marketing, Communications and PR.
- To actively show a commitment to the Marketing Strategy.
- To ensure that all information is secured, used and maintained in line with internal and external standards including ensuring that confidential information is processed in line with the Data Protection Act, GDPR and College policies.
- To show an active commitment to Middlesbrough College’s Equality and Diversity Policy, Quality Frameworks and Health and Safety Procedure.
- To actively participate in continuous professional development including the introduction of new technologies.
- To carry out such other appropriate duties commensurate with your skills, knowledge and experience.
- The College may, in consultation with you, need to vary these duties from time to time in order to respond to the changing requirements of the College.
