**Community Fundraiser**
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Community Fundraiser to join our successful fundraising team. You’ll support our existing fundraisers and expand fundraising initiatives through groups, organisations, events, individuals, donation campaigns, etc.

- Part time - up to 30 hours per week
**SALARY**: £23,953 - £26,974 (pro rata to hours worked)
**CONTRACT**: Permanent
**HOLIDAYS**:28 days plus bank holidays (pro rata to hours worked)
**PENSION**:Auto enrolment in place
**PROBATIONARY PERIOD**:6 months
**ACCOUNTABLE TO**:Development **Manager**
**BASE**:*Osney Mead, Oxford. Frequent travel within Oxfordshire will be required. Some national travel. Some home working.

Purpose of the Job*
Building on the success of our Fundraising Team this role will support and expand community fundraising initiatives through groups, organisations, events, individuals, legacy, donation campaigns and regular giving.
The Community Fundraiser is an important post within the organisation and works closely with the rest of the Development Team, the Volunteer and Service User Involvement Team, Communications Team and the Wellbeing Teams.
The post-holder is responsible for building relationships with community based groups and individuals to ensure they reach their fundraising potential for the charity.

Responsibilities*
- Target and seek out new partnerships with individuals and groups across Oxfordshire, engaging with a wide variety of audiences from schools to churches, golf clubs to community groups, working with the fundraising standards and best practices.
- Responsible for managing and developing relationships with donors choosing to raise money in aid of Oxfordshire Mind. Ensure those supporting Oxfordshire Mind have a consistent point of contact and are fully supported. Manage expectations regarding the level of support and endorsement Oxfordshire Mind can provide.
- Responsible for managing and developing relationships with Fundraising Volunteers, ensuring they have a consistent point of contact and are fully supported.
- Use all available methods of communication as appropriate, including face to face communication wherever possible, to build long term relationships with the community.
- Develop and design community fundraising materials. Ensure consistency of Fundraising Standards and the Mind Brand in all literature.
- Represent Oxfordshire Mind at networking events, meetings, forums and other events
- Coordinate visits to Oxfordshire Mind services
- Produce and coordinate compelling and timely reports
- Use and develop the Customer Relationship Management system to fulfil the needs of the Development Team’s pipeline and contact management and to manage and update this database in line with GDPR regulations and our supporter journey
- Manage the Oxfordshire Mind Cash collections, including collection tins and street collections
- Reconcile income raised, ensuring up-to date financial tracking
- To keep abreast of the latest community fundraising trends and news
- This role involves out of hours working and a willingness to work flexibly is required

PERSON SPECIFICATION / SELECTION CRITERIA*

Essential*
- Two years’ experience in fundraising or similar roles involving relationship building
- Experience of delivering income against targets in charitable organisations or similar
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written with an ability to present an appropriate and persuasive case for support
- Experience of setting up new initiatives with excellent results
- Strong relationship building skills including tailoring your approach to different audiences
- IT skills, including use of Microsoft 365 suite CRM systems, Canva (or similar) and social media platforms
- Ability to work independently seeking advice and support when appropriate
**Desirable**
- Qualifications and/or training in fundraising or similar
- Current valid Driving Licence and use of car for work purposes
- Personal contacts and connections in the Oxfordshire community
- Knowledge & understanding of mental health issues
