An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent full time Learning Facilitator to work within the early years department.

You must be an inspiring, dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic Learning Facilitator and will have responsibility for students across Level 1 to Level 3. The key aspect of this role is to deliver our cross-college Employability and PSD agenda as well as assessing learners in placement.

You would be required to work as part of the course team and support the curriculum leader and manager to improve learner punctuality, attendance, retention, achievement and success.

The role requires you to liaise with employers to source valuable work placements including schedule and carryout practice observations in settings.

As a Learning Facilitator you will be required to monitor and track the learner journey to ensure appropriate support is implemented to maximise learner achievement, success and excellent outcomes for all learners. You will be solution focused have a positive work ethic and will share best practice with other members of the team. You will be required to be flexible in your approach with a ‘can-do, will-do’ attitude.

You will be required to plan and facilitate workshops and group tutorial sessions related to the field of early years, and will ensure functional skills including Math’s, English and IT are embedded in the curriculum. You will undertake one to one tutorials and Personal and Social Development sessions with learners who are on a range of early years programmes from level 1 to level 3. During individual tutorial sessions, you will set and agree SMART targets including those for academic development, math’s and English and personal development and will monitor progress made against targets.

You should have excellent communication and ICT skills and be able to deliver a curriculum with a willingness to embed digital skills and sustainability. You will enjoy working independently as well as thriving on being part of a team. You will be able to juggle a busy workload with a positive approach whilst being eager to learn and keep up to date with the latest practice.

**What we’re looking for**:
The successful applicant must have the following:

- Educated with a relevant early years Level 3 qualification minimum
- Must have relevant early years vocational experience.
- Must have an assessor’s qualification A1, D32 or D33
- Has or prepared to undertake a quality assurance qualification.
- Has ICT skills equivalent to a minimum Level 2 standard.
- Has good numerical and literacy skills equivalent to a minimum Level 2 standard.
- Has or prepared to undertake a teaching and learning qualification at Level 3 or above.
