Our Milton Keynes Based Client is looking for a Full Time Chef Manager. You will need to have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen at either Head Chef or Chef Manager level. You will be responsible for all catering production and smoothdaily running of all day catering and site restaurants, kiosks and events catering. Ensuring that all kitchen areas are maintained to a high standard, and to implement and maintain effective purchasing and tight stock controls.

**Salary: **£39,900 per annum

**Hours**: 40 hours a week (including weekends)

**Reporting to**:Managing Director

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure planning, cost and delivery of high standard creative food production for day visitor catering and event catering.
- Managing a large team, which fluctuates season to season.
- Regular creation and change of all menus
- Meeting with clients to discuss bespoke menu requirements for events.
- Managing stocks of food including receiving, handling and storing.
- Liaising with suppliers including food ordering.
- Controlling a budget and keeping accurate records.
- Maintain upkeep of SOP’s.
- Control all aspects of food portioning.
- Ensure accurate record keeping.
- Organising and implementing staff duty rota, controlling costs.
- Recruiting, training and developing staff.
- Maintaining safety and working of all kitchen equipment.
- To work in partnership with the Catering Services Manager to ensure optimum department performance at all times
- A positive personal image is presented to the customer at all times.
- Act as Day Duty Manager for the site as per shared management rota.
- To comply with Standards of Performances and Zero Defects.
- To attend training courses which are identified as being necessary for the performance of the role.
