Due to business growth Unipart Logistics are looking for an Operations Director to lead a team in delivering world-class standards in cost, quality, and delivery. Working as part of the Logistics Executive team in the leadership of a globally diverse business, you will focus on activity in support of our strategic "Go Digital, Go Green, Go Faster" growth and development. **Key areas of focus include**: Sustainability - Unipart have committed to become carbon neutral by 2030, and have now joined a global campaign pledging to reach 'carbon net zero' by 2050 or sooner, which sees us committed and focused on a number of initiatives to eliminate carbon from our operations and our supply chain. You will take the lead in your sector to embed relevant change to support this. Operational excellence - using The Unipart Way to continuously improve operational performance, leading external benchmarking and best practice, increasing the capability of our people in your sector, and ensuring that your clients' expectations are exceeded **About You**: You will be able to think strategically and have a strong operations background in third party logistics across multiple sites and contracts. With experience in Manufacturing / Production logistics, solid experience in defining, planning, managing and sustaining both organisation and operational change and transformation projects at a large scale, and TUPE experience / exposure you will get the opportunity to lead some of the most exciting logistics / 3PL projects in the UK. With experience of leading and developing people to deliver outstanding performance, you will also have a deep understanding of the principles of continuous improvement, using digital technologies and solutions to transform operations, and a strong desire to drive and embed 'Go Green' initiatives.
