Vaccination Operations Cell

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Vaccination Operations Cell (VOC) Coordinators to join the Vaccination Programme on a permanent basis.

The Coordinators will have a role in supporting the Senior Managers of the Vaccination Programme in planning for and delivering an ambitious programme of Covid-19, Flu and nMAB vaccinations and through the development of a system wide Immunisation Strategy for Joined Up Care Derbyshire (JUCD) in accordance with the JCVI.

The role is pivotal to ensure that the population of JUCD receive timely access to a high quality and cost effective vaccination service in the city and county. This post will ensure the administration of the Vaccination Programme runs efficiently.

The Coordinator is a key member of a multi-disciplinary team providing the day to day programme input into the Vaccination Operations Cell (VOC). The post holder will work with other members of the team to ensure effective system leadership and supporting the effective and efficient planning and deployment of the vaccination programme on behalf of JUCD in accordance with national policy.

- Monitoring and maintenance of VOC inbox, ensuring robust processes in place for handover
- Coordination and support of NHSEI returns within required deadlines with management oversight from Operations Lead
- Coordination of complaints and enquiries relating to the vaccination programme
- Ability to use systems and processes relating to vaccination programme, ie Foundry, NBS as examples.
- Full support and facilitation of meetings including producing and distributing papers in a timely manner, chasing outstanding actions and taking minutes
- Ensure the Vaccination Programme has a rota in place for weekdays, on call working and Bank Holiday cover
- Support the Operations Lead and Planning/BI Lead in relation to the vaccination programme and inequalities agenda
- First point of contact for vaccination sites
- Develop a Standard Operating Procedure for the Vaccination Programme ensuring this captures any system changes, using version control.
- Support the Vaccine Operations Cell senior team in embedding the vaccination programme within wider system.
- The post holder will undertake reporting and analysis of information as directed by the Operations Lead and Planning/BI Lead to support delivery;
- Work with the Planning/BI Lead to shape the performance reporting, ie Gold Report and develop suitable reporting dashboards as required;
- Support the Head of Vaccination Programme & Population Health in maintaining the vaccination programme risk register;
- Take responsibility for the analysis and production of a range of reports necessary to manage the Programme (with support from senior colleagues) as required.
