Our Manufacturing Excellence team help us improve the efficiency, quality and safety of our manufacturing operations, and our Logistics Excellence team develop new and innovative ways to distribute our products to customers.About The RoleThis position is a 6 month FTCReporting into the Shift Leader or their Deputy, this role involves supporting the running of a continuous packing\production line, manufacturing and packing high quality products, packaged and prepared for delivery in accordance with customer service requirements.It involves working in and being responsible for ensuring a safe working manufacturing environment; protective clothing policies, health and safety and hygiene procedures need to be followed.This role requires the ability to work in a high speed production environment (shift working) and as part of a team that takes responsibility for achieving targets.Your responsibilitiesContributing to and ensuring production targets are achieved eg OEE, Productivity and WasteReceiving and checking deliveries from suppliers - taking appropriate remedial action if goods are not within specificationAdhere to site Health and Safety regulations and ensuring H&S procedures are followed to the required standardMaintain documents relating to Production, Health and Safety and QualityInteraction with SAP to document material movements, order reconciliation & quality checksPerform routine product testing and all quality control checks - taking appropriate remedial action if goods are not within specificationAdhere to site Quality Management System and in particular ensuring the Quality policies and procedures are followed to the required standard relevant to role and work areaActioning non-conformance of products ; where possible identifying and reporting faults with equipment/machineryParticipate in audits (carried out by internal auditors and external auditors)Maintenance of housekeeping recordsEnsure waste levels are minimised to achieve area targets.To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.The experience we're looking forExperience of working in a high speed (FMCG) production environment – preferably householdExperience of using computers and computer systems in a production environmentGood communication skillsSelf-motivated and able to motivate othersAbility to build constructive work relationships and work as part of a teamAbility to plan, prioritise and organise workload, reflecting on activity to ensure best practice and continuous improvementFlexible and adaptable approach to workSelf starter, able to work on own initiative and able to demonstrate use of initiative as necessaryAchievement focussed and able to work in a direct and pressurised environment.Commitment to complete challenges that are started.Ability to manage multiple activities and flexible to respond to ever changing prioritiesWhat we offerWith inclusion at the heart of everything we do, working alongside our four global Employee Resource Groups, we support our people at every step of their career journey, helping them to succeed in their own individual way.
