Compliance Officer - UK Remote

What You'll be Doing
Do you have a passion to maintain standards and following a process? Ready to support our operational teams to achieving high standards? In this role, you'll provide ongoing monitoring, assessing reports to review historical activities and supporting operational areas to provide updates and feedback on colleague's day to day activities relating to regulatory processes. You'll evaluate performance to support regulatory activity to ensure FCA guidelines are being maintained.
You'll report to the regional Chief Counsel. In this role, you'll be responsible for identifying areas where development is required to ensure all colleagues are adhering to regulatory standards.
During a Typical Day, You'll
- Lead the review, creation and implementation of policies, standards and procedures for the general operation of the FCA-regulated business in the company; undertake regulatory filings with the FCA.
- Advise on compliance matters and manage the Compliance Management Plan for the FCA-regulated business.
- Scan the horizon for regulatory change, and monitor compliance with regulations and internal policies to ensure they are up-to-date with the relevant laws.
- Develop strategies and mechanisms to continually drive and enhance compliance programmes.
- Liaise with a variety of stakeholders internally and represent the organisation externally as required.
- Other related duties, such as some company secretarial matters.
What You Bring to the Role
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in an FCA-regulated environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of FCA regulations, including SYSC, MIFID, SMCR, Conduct and AML Rules, and experience with FCA Connect.
- Ability to work on your own, stay organised and work in a multi-task environment.
- Good judgement, and enthusiasm for developing skills.
