**Do you have proven property or building maintenance experience with a working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing and decoration works?** Our low-cost key worker housing offers self-cateringaccommodation options, such as sharedaccommodation suitable for singles, to apartments for couples or families. We offer flexible stays of anything from one night to a year or more. As well as housing NHSstaff, the accommodation is also available to other key workers including staff from private hospitals, council workers, police, fire officers, prison officers and teachers. **The role**: At Poole, ouraccommodation consists of 213 ensuite rooms in a 12-storey building on site at Poole hospital, 6 two bedroom purpose built flats, 12 family flats varying in size from one bedroom to four bedrooms within walking distance of the hospital and 26single rooms situated on the top floor of the hospital. You'll be responsible for all maintenance services and repair requests received from residents, staff and external customers. Key responsibilities include: - Carrying out a wide range of repair work with an emphasis on plumbing, joinery and low-level electrical repairs, along with other minor maintenance tasks - Managing and carrying out a programme of routine inspections and follow up maintenance actions to the internal and external communal areas of the accommodation - Undertaking pre and post inspection of works carried out by contractors, ensuring works orders given are accurate and the necessaryadministration is completed, for example permits to work - Undertaking Health and Safety checks and keep accurate and up to date records according to procedure **What you'll need** This is predominantly an "on the tools" rolewith some time at the desk to manage orders, budgets and contractors. You'll need previous experience in general repairs work including plumbing, carpentry and general decoration works.
